暖暖直播app神器 “Lazer Team,” the first feature film from Internet production studio Rooster Teeth, ended its crowdfunding campaign with more than $2.4 million, becoming the No. 1 all-time most funded film on Indiegogo.com.
The campaign began June 6, hitting its original $650,000 goal in less than 10 hours, and it finished on July 6 during RTX, Rooster Teeth’s annual video game convention in Austin, Texas. With more than 37,000 backers, “Lazer Team” beat out the previous No. 1 film on Indiegogo — the politically charged documentary “Gosnell” — by almost $250,000.
暖暖直播app神器“Lazer Team” is a science-fiction comedy following the antics of four losers who are forced to become humanity’s greatest heroes. After being invited to join a galactic society of alien races, the United States military begins training a genetically superior individual to assume the role of Earth’s champion.
But when four idiots each steal a different piece of the champion’s advanced combat suit, it locks to their DNA, and they are thrust into the role of heroes as the titular Lazer Team.
“Our audience has once again amazed us with their overwhelming, record-breaking support,” said Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns. “We are proud to be the No. 1 most funded film on Indiegogo, and with a totally new property.
“In a world filled with sequels and reboots, ‘Lazer Team’ is a brand new IP being made possible by the people who want to see it. That is what crowdfunding is all about.”
暖暖直播app神器Rooster Teeth are known for making web-based content, including “Red vs. Blue” — the longest running web series of all time, currently in Season 12 — and the animated series “RWBY.” They have also produced “Immersion,” a series that tests video game concepts in real life, and are preparing to launch the apocalyptic web series “Day 5,” which is set in a world where people suddenly start dying when they fall asleep.
Casting details about “Lazer Team” have yet to be announced, but shooting is scheduled to begin in Austin and New Mexico next month. The film will be released sometime next year.
